Julio G. Davalos, M.D. – Endourology Fellowship Director
Dr. Julio Davalos is a board-certified urologist and serves as medical director of the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center’s Kidney Stone Center, director of Chesapeake Urology’s Advanced Kidney Stone program, and clinical faculty for the Section of Urology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
He is a national leader in kidney stone treatment and innovation and has performed more than 2,500 PCNL surgeries and over 1,500 tubeless PCNL surgeries.
Meagan M. Dunne, M.D. – Endourology Fellow
Dr. Dunne joined Chesapeake Urology as the endourology fellow for 2020 -2021. She works alongside Dr. Julio Davalos, treating kidney stone patients. Dr. Dunne received her medical degree from The University of Maryland School of Medicine where she also completed a general surgery internship and urology residency.
Dr. Dunne’s research and work have been published in a number of peer-reviewed publications. She presented on ambulatory percutaneous nephrolithotomy at the 2019 AUA annual meeting in Chicago and the 2019 WCE meeting in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Dr. Dunne has also been involved in various research studies and papers with Dr. Davalos on topics related to kidney stone treatments. She is the recipient of several recognitions including the Dr. A. Bradley Gaither Memorial Prize for Excellence in Genitourinary Surgery. Dr. Dunne plans to pursue a career focused on the surgical and medical treatment of patients suffering from kidney stones.
